Although the season has just started, the Xolos proved that they are a different team from last season as they beat Monarcas Morelia 4-2. This is the team’s third consecutive victory after losing in their debut.
The first half did not provide many emotions until a penalty was awarded to Club Tijuana. The team’s new arrival striker Ricardo Da Silva scored the game’s first goal in the 33rd minute.
In the second half this team transformed into a more offensive team and this system paid off minutes later when Dayro Moreno scored in the 54th minute. The striker sent a powerful blast past the opposing goalkeeper to increase the Xolos lead.
Minutes later the opponents scored a goal to put the game 2-1 but just when the game seemed to get tight the Xolos scored again.
This time it was striker Gabriel Hauche who in the 72nd minute found the ball after a rebound and he just sent it to goal to make it 3-1.
Minutes later he would score again to increase the lead to everyone surprise. Before the end of regulation Monarcas scored their second goal in a well elaborated play to leave the the score 4-2.
