Verona, the newest neighborhood by McMillin Communities, celebrated its grand opening and release of phase two last Saturday in a special event called A Taste of Chula Vista.
The event was attended by more than 350 people who came to see the newly opened models and get a taste of some of the local businesses and services offered by the community.
The event featured tasting from the area’s finest restaurants including Villa Capri Italian Restaurant, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, The Gourmet Bagger Sandwich Shop, Cornbread Daddy and Edible Arrangements, as well as live music entertainment from Aram Studios, gardening tips from the landscaping experts at Gillespie Moody Patterson and fall home dŽcor tips from At Home With Laurie Ann.
Picket Fence Design demonstrated the many choices buyers have when it comes to flooring and Solar City was on hand to answer questions on using environmentally friendly photovoltaic solar systems at home.
While the kids were entertained with activities and crafts from the South Bay Family YMCA and Kid Ventures, their parents could view the luxury cars on display from BMW South County, Frank Toyota and the Corvette Owners Club of San Diego.
“The grand opening event at Verona was an overwhelming success,” said Liz Ramirez, vice president of marketing for McMillin Communities. “We were so pleased to be able to partner with local businesses and really showcase the lifestyle and amenities available within the community.
Verona’s three floor plans offer one single-story and two two-story plans with three to seven bedrooms with two and a half to five and a half baths.
Special to plan one is the option for a living suite where guests or relatives can have a private and relaxing space of their own. Plan two offers an optional garage workshop with a built-in workbench and storage.
The thoughtfully designed kitchens offer ample space as well as large central islands perfect for entertaining.
With backyards featuring covered patios, fireplaces or outdoor living rooms, Verona takes advantage of the beautiful Southern California climate with an integrated indoor/outdoor living concept.
