FYI: Earlier this week, on July 22, the average global temperature was 62.87, becoming the hottest day on earth ever recorded. The previous record had been set on July 21—2024, just a day before. Sixty-two degrees may sound chilly by Southern California standards but within a global context, climate scientists find the increase alarming.
