San Diego County is about the same size as Connecticut. There are four climate zones. They are coastal, inland, mountains, and desert. The area with the most people live near the coastal. There are many inland. Low mountains have some residents. And the rest in hot, arid east county. The temperature in most places has risen in August.
There are reports in the news concerning extreme heat in parts of the US. Hot weather affects about 25% of those in continental America.
There are also states with flooding.
Countries in Europe, Africa, The Middle East, and south Asia feel the effects of record heat. Fortunate people have air conditioning. Thus far in August on planet Earth five days have had the highest temperature in recorded history. Global warming and climate change have arrived.
They will become worse as time goes by.
A minority somehow rejected the onset of COVID-19 in March, 2020. There are always a few naysayers. Still people reject the stark reality of climate change. What planet do they live on?
