Sweetwater Red Devils snap four-game losing streak, win 35-7 over Raiders

Da Shey Wilson rushed 19 times for 143 yards and Daniel Castro caught seven passes for 140 yards to enable the Sweetwater Red Devils to snap a four-game losing streak with a 35-7 non-league victory over the Southwest Raiders in a game played last Friday (Oct. 14) at Mar Vista High School.

Castro finished the game with two touchdowns while Wilson, Kristian Garcia and Luis Mendoza each scored once.

Adrian Lipsack completed nine of 16 passing attempts for 146 yards with one score in the victory.

Wilson rushed 16 times for 75 yards and scored SuHi’s lone touchdown in its 28-7 non-league loss at Olympian on Oct. 7. Sal Nasser had seven carries for 91 yards in the setback.

Sweetwater (2-4) hosts San Ysidro (2-4) in a non-league game this Friday.

Wilson has rushed for 394 yards on the season while Castro has caught 35 passes for 494 yards and made two interceptions on defense.
