The South Coast American Water Polo Club has continued to grow. The club now has divisions for 18U boys, 18U girls, 16U boys, 16U girls and a 14U coed program.
Players are drawn from Eastlake, Hilltop, Olympian, High Tech and Mar Vista high schools, according to club director Ernie Medina.
At the recent spring Norse tournament series, South Coast’s 18U boys team finished 5-2 while the 16U boys team finished 6-3.
South Coast 18U defeated the San Diego Suns and Baron Polo Club teams in last week’s first spring South Coast Tiki Tournament.
The next Tiki Tournament series event is a 16U boys and girls tournament scheduled April 11. Participating clubs include Sunset (University City, Clairemont), Suns (Chula Vista, Spring Valley) and South Coast.
The final spring Tiki Tournament series event is scheduled April 25 for 16U and 18U teams.
