Santa Claus will welcome families to the free Christmas celebration on Saturday, Dec. 8, from noon to 3 p.m. at Terra Nova Plaza in Chula Vista. The three-hour event also features a real snow play area, carnival rides, games, children’s holiday craft activity and live entertainment at the shopping center, located at I-805 East and H Street.
The St. Rose of Lima School Glee will perform at noon to open the holiday event. Teen Mercedes Gonzalez, the 2018 Chula Vista’s Got Talent contest winner and a former student at St. Rose of Lima Elementary School, will also sing.
Gonzalez won a front of line audition for next season’s “America’s Got Talent” at the contest held at Terra Nova Plaza.
Photos with Santa are free. Guests may bring smart phones or cameras to take pictures with Santa. Present receipts totaling $25 or more from Terra Nova Plaza businesses dated Dec.8 at the festival on Dec. 8 to get a free reusable bag.
