Sweetwater Red Devil football team, you are Champions in every way.. what you accomplished this season was truly historical.
Starting the season 0-4 you could of given up, instead you made a decision to do what you had to do and in the process captured a San Diego CIF title,a CIF Southern California regional title and made history by playing for a California State title, a first in the schools history.. There is nothing more rewarding then watching you do what you did this season, you rewrote the Sweetwater glorious history books and you added another chapter to the schools 100+ years of Sweetwater tradition. We Alumni are proud of all of you,We also, want to thank Head Coach Ervin Hernandez and the entire coaching staff for its dedication and all of the time and hours they sacrificed for all of you . Also we as a community thank all of the parents school faculty and administration for your commitment to all the students that you do day after day. And we thank each and every person that also had a huge part in supporting our Red Devils in so many ways,especially Mayor Morrison and Josie Clark Flores who stepped up and provided luxury transportation for the team, it’s fans and parents.
