Chula Vista police are looking for individuals who may have had contact with a man pretending to be a police officer.
Detectives said a male subject was impersonating a police officer by making traffic stops in and around the Chula Vista area.
The Chula Vista Police Department is seeking information from members of the public who may have been stopped by the impersonator.
Police ask that anyone who may have been stopped or contacted in the South Bay area by a white male adult, 40-45 years old, either in uniform or in plain clothes and driving a black and white police style motorcycle or police style vehicle equipped with a siren and or emergency lights and who was not issued a citation should call (619)409-5852.
Detectives are investigating multiple incidents and believe other victims may exist.
The suspect has been identified and his police-style sedan has been impounded, but his name is being withheld because the investigation is continuing, police said.
