Performances added to OnStage Playhouse’s production of ‘The Diary of Anne Frank’

OnStage Playhouse has added two performances to its current production of “The Diary of Anne Frank,” which is running through Dec. 4.

A Sunday evening performance has been added on Nov. 13 at 8 p.m., while a Saturday matinee has been added on Nov. 19 at 2 p.m.

Ongoing performances are Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8:00 p.m., with Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. No performances are scheduled on Nov. 24 and Dec.r 3

“The Diary of Anne Frank”†is based on the real life diary written by Anne Frank and has become a classic of modern†world literature.† This 1999 revised play and Tony Award winner by Wendy Kesselman has won rave reviews as the most realistic portrayal of life in hiding during World War II.

Through her detailed and inspiring diary, the true story of Anne Frank becomes the embodiment of hope and humanity in spite of the most unimaginable tribulations.

The OnStage cast includes Teri Brown, Richard Cajka,†Rob Conway, Jose Galvan, Greg McAfee, Mitchell Pftizmeier, Laura Preble, Sven Salumaa, Rachel Throesch, Anya Tuerk, Lucia Vecchio and Nick Young.

“The Diary of Anne Frank” is presented as a co-production with OnStage Playhouse’s Charles K. Nichols Student Intern Program. High school students and college freshmen are mentored by experienced adults in all production elements including design, directing, dramaturgy and producing.

Due to content and issues discussed in the play, we recommend this show to ages 10 years and older.† The Diary of Anne Frank is presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc.

General admission is $16, with tickets for seniors, students and military personnel priced at $14.

OnStage Playhouse also offers group discounts for reservations of 10 or more.
