The Starlight Parade is celebrating its 50th anniversary tomorrow, Dec. 3.

Thousands of people are expected to gather on Third Avenue between H and E streets for the largest nighttime parade in the South County.

The parade will feature more than 5,000 participants including local high school marching bands, decorated holiday floats, local dance troupes, service organizations and strolling carolers.
Chula Vista Mayor Cheryl Cox will attend the holiday tree lighting ceremony in Memorial Park, 373 Park Way, at 5:30 p.m. The parade immediately follows the tree lighting.
