Celebrating nine years in Chula Vista, NOVO Brazil Brewing Company is holding a family-friendly party at its Lane Avenue brewery location on July 29 from 5-9 p.m.
This free outdoor event will feature food from Tijuana’s Tortas WashMobile, Latin music from Cuband4ever, kid’s activities including a bouncy castle and cornhole.
“While creating award-winning beer is at the heart of what we do, we take the most pride in serving as an all-ages community gathering point for residents of the South Bay and beyond,” said NOVO founder Tiago Carneiro in a press release.
“It has been an incredible nine years, and I couldn’t be happier when I see hundreds, if not thousands, come together at our events to drink great beer, eat great food, dance the night away, and watch our hometown teams on the big screen TVs.”
The Padres game against the Texas Rangers will be shown on the brewery’s 15-foot LED screen beginning at 5:40 p.m. Cuband4ever performs regularly at the renown Café Sevilla in the Gaslamp Quarter of downtown San Diego.
Tortas WashMobile is presented by Chef Pedro Fuentes, who started a weekly residency at the brewery in February as the famed Tijuana eatery’s first availability for the general public in the United States. Chef Fuentes is creating an exclusive torta in honor of NOVO’s anniversary, and it will feature Arrachera (Mexican skirt steak), fresh vegetables, queso panela fundido, and chipotle.
Other food vendors include Casanova Fish Tacos and Dolci Belle Bakery.
NOVO has three locations in the South Bay, including Imperial Beach on the southern edge of San Diego Bay and in Otay Ranch Town Center.
