“Xolomania” is sweeping the region, as Tijuana’s long-shot soccer team heads to the second of a two-part championship series Sunday, Dec. 2. Meanwhile, Xolos FC Academy, the associated club on the U.S. side, says there has been a surge of interest in its youth soccer academy. Wednesday night news crews from ESPN and Univision filmed portions of youth practice at Hilltop High, where the academy is centered. Pictured are  Andrea Rodebaugh, far left, Xoloitzcuintles FC’s girls director, posing with girls enrolled in the soccer academy.
