With an extensive career in the private sector including positions as CEO, COO, technical direct for several small and medium businesses, the Chula Vista Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors announced William A Hall as the interim Chamber CEO. Hall takes over from Lisa Cohen, who announced her retirement earlier this month.
“Chula Vista couldn’t have asked for a more dedicated, respected, and skilled person to lead the Chamber than Bill Hall,” said Todd Galarneau, president of the Chamber Board in a press release. “We are fortunate and thankful to Bill for lending the Chamber his proven leadership as we begin to chart a new course in support of the Chula Vista business community.”
Hall is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and served as a U.S. Navy officer from 1974 to 2007. He is former president of the CVCOC Board, served as a Port of San Diego commissioner, San Diego Port Tenants Association, World Trade Center San Diego, Scripps Mercy Hospital Foundation, and Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center board member.
“Chula Vista is a unique and thriving community,” said Hall. “As Chula Vista continues to grow, so does its business community. I am happy to serve as the interim CEO of a Chamber that will continue to grow with its City in support of the business community and all of Chula Vista.”
