Registration is now open to hear presentations by experts covering water-conserving landscapes by building healthy soil with compost, plant right for your site, and use water smart irrigation. This event is free and workshop attendees will receive a free, drought tolerant plant, more free gifts and raffle prizes. The workshop will be held on Sept. 9 at the Civic Center Branch Library at 365 F Street from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
In addition, the Chula Vista Garden Club is holding a plant sale open to the public from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to purchase drought tolerant California-friendly plants grown by the Garden Club at bargain prices. Proceeds benefit the Garden Club’s community programs.
