On July 9, the Chula Vista Firefighters Foundation annual Pancake breakfast is back, with breakfast made by Chula Vista Fire Department personnel, and Citizen’s Adversity Support Team and Community Emergency Response Team volunteers. All proceeds go to the Foundation which supports fire safety community programs, support to individuals displaced by fires, and to encourage fire suppression volunteers. The breakfast will be held at Station 5, 341 Orange Ave.
Parking is available at the South Chula Vista Branch Library at 389 Orange Ave., and attendees are encouraged to go to the library to see the free Fire Department Centennial display, which has artifacts, videos and photos.
Suggested donation for the breakfast is $8 per plate. Pre-registration is encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome to participate. The Pancake Breakfast is from 9 a.m.- noon. To pre-register, visit www.cvfirefighters.org/posts/pancake-breakfast.
