Mt. San Miguel Park will be the venue of the third annual Chula Vista Firefighters Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 30.
Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. with the first of three Easter egg hunts beginning at 10:30 a.m.
Easter egg hunts will be divided by age groups with younger children participating first and 10-year-olds last. The Easter Bunny will be present for photos.
Dangkhoa Nguyen, treasurer for Local 2281 and event organizer, said this event is nothing more than firefighters wanting to get involved with the community.
“The firefighters don’t expect to get anything out of this,” he said. “We just want to give back to the community and interact with the people we serve.”
Nguyen said the event is free; however, tickets for the 10 and under event must be picked up at any of the city’s nine fire stations. Only 500 tickets are available. Mt. San Miguel Park is at 2335 Paseo Veracruz.
