Terra Nova Plaza is holding its free Easter fun event “Meet Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny” on Saturday, April 16 from noon to 3 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny will be at the plaza for photo ops for both children and adults.
Terra Nova Marketing Director Cynthia Gonzalez said that this event has been going on for many years, and that the family event is set up so that people can bring their cellphones and cameras to take their own photos with Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny.
“Terra Nova Plaza hosts the event,” she said. “Pre-COVID, we were getting around 800 kids at this event. It is a free event. You come and have a good time, and you do not have to pay for anything. It definitely draws a big crowd.”
Along with the photo ops, the outdoor event features a magic show, Easter crafts, a rock climbing wall, a giant slide, and obstacle course, a jumpy bouncer, face painters, balloon artists, and it will be handing out complementary cotton candy and churros to attendees.
“We used to do an Easter egg hunt where you go to every business to collect Easter eggs, but with COVID we are doing a digital outdoor scavenger hunt,” she said. “So, kids will come in and do a craft. We are doing Easter bunny heads with the children’s hands on canvas. They will be able to take that home with them. They will receive a flyer that has a list of different things that they need to check out around the shopping center. They bring it back and they receive a prize. We have toys to choose from, but we also give out gift cards as well.”
Terra Nova Plaza is located at 394 H St., just off the 805 Freeway.
