Discovery Center programmed for Spanish

For Hispanic Heritage Month, the Living Coast Discovery Center is inviting the public to participate in its new bilingual programming.

The Chula Vista nonprofit now offers its guided nature walks, workshops, and animal presentations in both English and Spanish. Guests will have the opportunity to learn about and connect with coastal wildlife both at the Living Coast facility on San Diego Bay and while exploring the surrounding community in the language most comfortable to them.

San Diegans can also participate in a series of free bilingual hikes in and around South Bay as part of the Living Coast’s Trail to Bay Challenge. Join educators to learn about the rich biodiversity of our local environment, how to identify wildlife and native plants, and more. Attend three hikes and one cleanup event with the Living Coast to complete the challenge. Groups that complete the Trail to Bay Challenge get a family four-pack of admission passes (valued at $80) and a Sustainability Hiking Pack.
