The City of Chula Vista and Create Chula Vista are in search of artists and vendors.
Organizers are planning the inaugural Chula Vista Art Fest scheduled for Sept. 30, at the City Hall lawn, 276 Fourth Ave.
The event is from 12 to 9 p.m.
The city said the first ever Chula Vista Art Fest will be free to attend and will be a “celebration of the diversity and talent of our local artists in Chula Vista and the South Bay.”
Organizers are planning to include an arts and crafts market, art exhibitions, music, interactive exhibits, painting and food vendors.
According to the city: “Chula Vista Art Fest will feature exhibit spaces and vendor booths for artists. The call for artists includes painters, sketch artists, cartoonists, photographers, ceramicists, muralists, and others who create 2D and 3D art. Those who have arts-related items for sale are welcome to apply for booth space. Vendor booths are available for $30 each.”
Booth applications are available at https://www.chulavistaca.gov/departments/library/chula-vista-art-fest and must be submitted by Aug. 13.
