Sweetwater Authority is streamlining its procurement process to improve administrative processes and expand its reach to connect with certified vendors. The Authority has partnered with PlanetBids, a software company that specializes in e-procurement solutions, to launch an online vendor portal where vendors can search and bid on the Authority’s bid opportunities electronically. This collaboration enables the Authority to streamline the procurement process in an eco-friendly, accessible and transparent way.
“This partnership represents a milestone for the Authority as we continue to work towards a more efficient, eco-friendly, and cost-effective procurement process,” stated Carlos Quintero, General Manager for Sweetwater Authority in a press statement. “This new online PlanetBids procurement solution will not only streamline our operations, but ultimately help us find the most qualified and cost-effective vendors for our projects, helping us keep costs down and water rates affordable.”
