A submerged Subaru in Sweetwater River was surrounded by water on Central Avenue between Bonita Road and Sweetwater Road Monday after heavy rain pummeled the county throughout most of the day. Two passengers were rescued by first responders. The stranded vehicle was among many that were caught in flooded streets. The storm dumped more than 2.5 inches of rain on the county, causing millions of dollars in damage.
