For the second year in a row, the Olympian High decathlon team claimed the championship title in the San Diego County Academic Decathlon. Competing against 18 teams from around the county, Olympian High was one of eight Sweetwater District schools to finish among the top 10 in the decathlon. Standouts for the team included juniors Ben Mendler, Andrew Valenciano, Jema Celeste and Corchelle Worsham; and sophomores Kristine Tolentino, Kyle Doria, Isaac Gonzalez and Sol Narvaez. The Olympian team will now travel to Sacramento to represent San Diego County in the California Academic Decathlon Championship from March 10 to 14.
