To better understand the challenges and successes of small business owners to determine strategic actions to best support them, Chula Vista is launching outreach initiatives. This project includes a survey, focus groups, and collaborations with small business owners and organizations.
The online survey seeks to amplify the voices of the small business community, expanding participation beyond businesses currently engaged. Feedback from the survey will provide insights into participant demographics, key challenges, successes, and recommendations to inform the development of programs, tools, and resources to support the small business community. It aims to include a diverse range of small businesses, including restaurants, retail, services, manufacturing, healthcare and defense. The city hopes participation will extend to long-standing and new businesses alike, along with women, veteran, and multicultural business owners.
The survey will be available through February 15, 2025. It features a combination of multiple choice and open-ended questions, designed to take less than 10 minutes to complete. Any small business with a location in Chula Vista is welcome to participate.
