Downtown Chula Vista Association is setting the stage for its 28th annual Taste of Third on Thursday, March 21 from 4-8 p.m. Early Bird tickets for the Taste of Third are already available for $40, plus a service fee, with a limited quantity.
The annual culinary celebration will feature businesses along Third Avenue, offering delicious bites and sips from H Street to E Street. Attendees will receive a Taste of Third Passport to guide them through the diverse culinary offerings, live music, and the chance to connect with local business owners during the community celebration.
“We are thrilled to bring back the Taste of Third for another year of culinary exploration and community celebration. Last year’s event was a tremendous success, and we’re looking forward to building on that momentum. It’s a fantastic opportunity for residents and visitors alike to experience the diverse flavors that our local businesses have to offer,” said Downtown Chula Vista Association District Manager Dominic Li Mandri.
Li Mandri said similar to last year, they expect to have more than 25 businesses serving up small bites and tastes for the South Bay public and the Chula Vista community to come and enjoy.
“We encourage anybody who has participated in previous years or interested in going to the event this year to get those tickets today at a discounted price,” he said. “This year is going to be the best event yet.”
Li Mandri said the early bird tickets are getting more popular than in previous years as the event is gaining more traction since the pandemic. He said this year, they are increasing the number of early bird tickets available.
“I believe the Taste that we orchestrate on Third Avenue now is the biggest event that Third Avenue has ever hosted,” he said. “When we started this event again after COVID in 2022, we were not certain how the public would approach this and embrace it, but we have been very encouraged with the amount of people and crowds that we have seen year after year to experience the amazing restaurants and the amazing cuisine that we have. We feel confident that the Taste in 2024 is going to be the best event ever.”
