Chula Vista Center’s Hispanic Heritage Month celebration

After a successful introduction in 2022, Chula Vista Center is bringing back its official Hispanic Heritage Month celebration on Saturday, Oct. 7 from Noon to 5 p.m. This family-friendly event celebrates Hispanic culture, music, food, and more. Families and residents can enjoy an afternoon full of energy and entertainment, including:

Mariachi Nueva Tradition
Performances from bi-national group Folklorico Jalisciense
Face and body art and balloon artist for kids
Community mercado with local vendors sponsored by Las Hispanas
Loteria cards to play for prizes
Coloring activities for kids
Giveaways and prizes including Sea World family 4-packs, gift cards from Chula Vista Center tenants and concert tickets for upcoming shows in San Diego.

Additionally, local radio partner Univision will be on-site with pop up tents and event hosts with on-air personalities Ojitos Navarro from Que Buena 106.5FM and Juan Cedeño from Amor 102.9FM.

“We were thrilled with the turnout and response to our first Hispanic Heritage Celebration last year; there wasn’t even a question to bring back this opportunity to celebrate and honor the history, culture, influence, business and civic leaders that are the heart of our community,” said Chula Vista Center Senior General Manager Ramon Oseguera in a press release.
