Water authority wants public, ratepayer input

The Sweetwater Authority is holding its inaugural meeting of its newly formed Community Advisory Work Group on Sept. 26 from 5-7 p.m. at the Reynolds Desalination Facility at 3066 N Second Ave. The group is open to residents, ratepayers, property owners, and members of the business community in the Authority’s service area. The group offers Authority stakeholders a platform to actively engage in the projects and initiatives of the water agency. By providing input, participants will help shape the future of their community’s water services and infrastructure.

“The Community Advisory Work Group aims to foster community conversation around upcoming agency initiatives,” said Board Chair Hector Martinez in a press release. “By getting stakeholder input at the ground level, the Authority will be better able to incorporate important feedback into our project planning, and in doing so, better serve our ratepayers.”

Full details on the work group, including details on the September 26 meeting and required RSVP, are available at www.sweetwater.org/workgroup.
