County fair up and runnning for summer 2023

The San Diego County Fair returned to the city of Del Mar this week and will operate through July 4.

Wednesday’s opening ceremony included a performance by special performance by the Hilltop High School Emerald Effect Band and Color Guard.
The annual event last year attracted more than 1 million visitors from throughout the county and the region and features concerts, arts and crafts, exhibits, food, games of chance and rides.

The fair this year includes concerts by comedian Kevin Hart, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Boys II Men, Los Tigres Del Norte, Alabama, and Jorge Medina.

The fair closes on Independence Day with a fireworks show.
