The Village of Escaya in Otay Ranch, which recently unveiled 21 beautifully decorated models of single-family detached homes has enjoyed unprecedented popularity since its grand opening last month with hundreds of families touring the models every week. To date, approximately a total of 65 homes by Brookfield Residential, CalAtlanticHomes and Shea Homes, have been contracted.
The Village of Escaya is located off Main Street and Heritage Road in Chula Vista. To reach the community from I-805, take the Main Street exit and drive east, turn left onto the new extension of Heritage Road and follow the signs to the Escaya Welcome Center.
The Welcome Center will also include information of two future multifamily neighborhoods that will be priced from the mid $300,000s. Presales for these homes will begin later this summer and models are planned to open by the end of the year.
HomeFed Corporation, the master developer of the award-winning North County community of San Elijo Hills, is also the master developer of Escaya. Approved plans call for the development of a 450-acre walkable village, enlivened by a 30,000-square-foot Village Center, a beautifully equipped 8-acre community park, a new elementary school, off-leash dog park and a private resort-style swim club with fitness center for residents.
“Surrounded by miles of open space in the Otay River valley and a defined village boundary, Escaya is designed as an intimate enclave with paths and paseos connecting everything in the neighborhoods,” said Halé Richardson, director of marketing for HomeFed Corporation, which is planned for 992 for-sale homes and 273 apartments.
Families at Escaya will have access to high performing schools at Wolf Canyon Elementary, Rancho Del Rey Middle School and Otay Ranch High School.
