A safe and positive environment

I am writing to express my deep appreciation for Gary Mujica, the president of National City Pony League, who has created something truly special in our community. What started as a small program with just 10 kids has now blossomed into a thriving league of 90 young athletes—all thanks to Gary’s dedication, vision, and passion for the game.

More than just baseball, this league is about giving kids a safe and positive environment to grow, learn, and thrive. Gary’s mission is clear: to keep kids off the streets and engaged in something meaningful. Every Saturday, the park is filled with the laughter and excitement of children playing baseball, while families gather to cheer them on. The sense of community is incredible, and it’s all because of the welcoming and uplifting atmosphere that Gary has fostered.

Our family first learned about this league after my son had a difficult experience with travel ball. From the moment we met Gary, he embraced us with open arms, providing not just a place to play but a true baseball family. His encouragement, motivation, and unwavering belief in these kids make all the difference. His impact reaches far beyond the field—he’s shaping young lives, instilling confidence, and teaching valuable life lessons through the love of the game.

I believe Gary deserves recognition for his incredible work and the positive change he continues to bring to our community. His league is a shining example of what sports should be about—trust, encouragement, and a shared passion for the game.
Please come out and visit us at National City Pony League and experience the incredible energy and community spirit for yourself.
